    Why does the Brazilian government need PDF/A?

    PDF/A is an ISO standard for long-term archiving. It ensures your document looks the same in 10 years as today by embedding fonts and color profiles. Many federal and state portals accept only this format.

    What happens if my PDF has a password or encryption?

    PDF/A forbids encryption. Remove the password using GekiPDF's unlock-pdf tool first, then convert. The converter will still work but the output won't be fully compliant if encryption remains.

    Is there a size limit for conversion?

    Yes, the maximum file size is 50 MB per upload. If your file is larger, compress it first with GekiPDF's compress-pdf tool to reduce the size below the limit.
