    When you scan a signed page and re-scan it again, the file size can balloon past email limits. GekiPDF's compress-pdf tool rewrites the file using Ghostscript presets: Light (~200 DPI), Recommended (~150 DPI), or Extreme (~96-120 DPI). For signature pages, keep 200-300 DPI so handwriting stays crisp—anything lower risks legibility complaints from recipients.

    Upload your PDF (up to 50 MB) and pick a preset. The tool processes about 16 pages in roughly one second, then drops metadata while keeping the text layer intact. Files are deleted after one hour, and you get up to 40 conversions per hour per IP—no account needed.

    What happens to metadata and text layers?
