    Does compressing also remove all metadata?

    Yes. Because Ghostscript rewrites the entire PDF, it strips author, creator, software, and EXIF fields. The new file starts fresh with only basic document info.

    Can I keep the text selectable after compression?

    Yes. The text layer is preserved during rewriting. You can still search, copy, and highlight text in the compressed PDF.

    What if my PDF is larger than 50 MB?

    The upload limit is 50 MB per file. If your PDF exceeds that, try reducing its size first by removing pages or converting images to lower resolution before uploading.
