    Most Indian KYC portals cap uploads at 100-500 KB and accept only JPEG or PDF. If your scanned Aadhaar or PAN is a multi-page PDF that exceeds the limit, use GekiPDF's compress tool. It rewrites the file with Ghostscript presets: Light (~200 DPI), Recommended (~150 DPI), or Extreme (~96-120 DPI). The text layer stays intact, so you can still search and copy text.

    What is the maximum file size I can upload?

    You can upload files up to 50 MB per file. After compression, the output is usually much smaller, but if your original is larger than 50 MB, split it first using the split-pdf tool.

    Will my Aadhaar or PAN be readable after compression?

    Yes, the text layer remains intact. At Recommended (150 DPI) most characters are legible on screen and print well. For very small text, use Light (~200 DPI) instead of Extreme.

    How do I know which preset to choose?

    Check the portal's limit. If it allows 300 KB, start with Recommended. If it needs under 100 KB, use Extreme. You can convert again with a different preset if the file is still too large.
