A compressed PDF is the reliable path—GekiPDF's compress tool rewrites your file with Ghostscript presets, so you can attach it directly. Upload up to 50 MB, choose Light (~200 DPI), Recommended (~150 DPI), or Extreme (~96-120 DPI). The rewrite drops metadata but keeps the text layer, so search and copy still work.

    For a typical 16-page scan, compression takes about 1 second and can shrink a 32 MB file to near 1.5 MB. That fits comfortably under most email limits. Files are deleted from our server after one hour, and you get up to 40 conversions per hour per IP—no account needed.     What if my PDF is larger than 50 MB?

    Split it first using the split-pdf tool, then compress each part separately. Each part must be under 50 MB to upload.

    Which preset should I use for email?

    Start with Recommended (~150 DPI). It balances quality and size. If the result is still over 10 MB, try Extreme (~96-120 DPI) to reduce further.

    Will the text become unreadable?

    No. The text layer is kept intact, so words stay sharp even at lower DPI. Only background images lose detail, which rarely matters for documents.
