About GekiPDF

What GekiPDF is

GekiPDF is a free online PDF toolkit: 18 tools for compressing, merging, splitting, converting, OCR-ing, watermarking and protecting PDF files. It runs in a browser and needs no installation.

The whole site is built around one idea: the boring document tasks people do every week should take seconds, cost nothing, and not require handing your files to a service that stamps a logo on the output.

How the tools work

Files are uploaded over HTTPS to servers we operate, processed with open-source engines (Ghostscript, QPDF, pypdf, pikepdf, Tesseract, pdf2docx) and returned to you as a download link that expires in one hour.

Nothing is queued to a third-party conversion service, which is why there is no watermark and no email wall.

How to get help

If a tool fails on your file, the fastest route to a fix is the error message shown in the panel plus the file type. Write to [email protected] and include both.

Editorial approach

Tool pages and guides state file-size limits, speeds and accuracy expectations explicitly, including the cases where a tool will not help (for example, OCR on fax-quality scans). We publish limits rather than hiding them.
